At the Permobil Foundation we:

  • Provide in-kind donations of chairs and accessories for those that have been denied by insurance

  • Partner with Non-Profit disability organizations

  • Sponsor fundraising events that align with our mission and provide benefits for our end-users

Meet Kathy Fierro who was introduced to us by a local neighbor and former resident to Lake Keesus, Mike Findley. Last December, Mike saw a Go Fund Me campaign where a local Wisconsin woman was trying to raise $8000 to pay for her seat elevator after being repeatedly denied by insurance. He contacted Steve DuFresne, a Permobil employee and Lake Keesus resident who immediately put in a request to the Permobil foundation to see what they could do.

At the time, Kathy had been forced to remain living with her parents and NOT move into the house she purchased 8 months earlier because her day-to-day independence was so limited without having the seat elevator. Look at Kathy now… IN HER OWN HOUSE!!!

Thanks Mike and thank you Permobil Foundation!!!

As the philanthropic arm of Permobil, the Permobil Foundation is a non-profit organization that believes that regardless of disability, everyone deserves a chance to reach their dreams without limitations. No person should be excluded from opportunity due to a disability.  Independent mobility is a basic human right. This is the heart of why Permobil cares. We offer valuable support and assistance that improves the quality of life for those with mobility limitations on a local, regional and national level.
